Many people sign up for free trials at netflix since it’s fast and easy. What is one supposed to do when someone accidentally signs up for an account at netflix with YOUR email address? Well unfortunately netflix does not use any type of email verification system. Therefore any user can sign up with anyone’s email address.
So now what? If you get an email from netflix saying you just started a free trial when you haven’t, then you may be shocked by this news. A first thought may be to go in to the netflix account to cancel the account and change the email address. Think this would work? Nah. In a few hours, the user just logged in again and updated the email address (back to my email address of course) and started up the free trial again.
Apparently netflix users can gain access to their accounts with the first name, last name, and credit card of the account. To fix this problem, I updated the first and last name, along with the email address to somebody@netflix.com. Hope I don’t get any more false account emails from netflix!
I like purchasing my vehicles used. As a matter of fact, I have never purchased a new car (yet). One of the benefits that new car buyers typically receive is a low interest rate on their auto loan. Some car manufacturers such as GM will have promotional specials as low as 0.0% APR! Other car companies that don’t need to give their customers as much incentive to purchase may only offer “low” rates, such as 1.9% or 2.9%. These rates are spectacular! But how can used car buyers save money?
